Wait for the Mobility 6870. It will massacre the 480M, while also costing less.

Hmm most likely gonna wait for it awhile* longer for sager to try crossfire in NP7280. AMD's 6870 coming around this month right? :)

I have been using my x7200 for a week. Gaming and doing deveopment work during the day. I have not had a single issue with the PSU. The reported PSU problem was running a combo of Prime 95 torture/Furmark torture at the same time. A situation that will never occur in everyday use.

Clevo should address the issue but unless you plan on running prime 95 and furmark at the same time, all the time, you will be fine.

Nah probably not. In fact, probably not even next month. I suspect 470M will be out before 6870.

Disclaimer: This is all my own speculation.

I expect it to be announced, shortly after the 6850/6870 are officially announced and released.

My reasoning is that AMD has no reason to just sit on a finished chip, especially when the high-end mobile market is ripe for the pickings. Releasing the Mob. 6870 this year would give AMD a long term strangle hold. I would think that AMD may want the card in as many machines as possible, by the Christmas season.

At least, that's how it works in my head.

I don't think will take a long time since Alienware having a promotion right now with free upgrade to CF5870.. might clearing this card before upgrade to a better 1..

ATI is cheaper than Nvidia , but stability of driver is worst than Nvidia.

    Yeah I agree with you.

They've been saying that Alienware is low on 5870 stock for a few weeks now. They wouldn't do that if something new wasn't coming.

But Nvidia driver failure is less than ATI..
Im not a Nvidia fans boy here but just telling the truth since most of the people know that this problem had occur in ATI long time ago.

Great I just hope they included newer hardwares like USB 3.0.
I will wait it out and see how alienware might turn out to be. :)
