Does anyone have any info on when the mobile 200GTX series will be released or whatever nVidia will be calling it. I guess if we look at history since the Go 7950GTX came out in October 2006 and the 8800m GTX came out November 2007, then maybe we will see it in February through April sometime if we can label the mobile 9 series as a "midterm refresh" that will delay the mobile 200GTX series by a few months?
The reason I ask is because the main games I am going to buy for my Sager NP5796 are Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Empire: Total War, and Champions Online. Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 will be very graphic intensive so a better lappy would definitely run it a lot better. Also, Empire: Total War and Champions Online come out around March so I could have waited to buy my laptop.
I know many of you will say buy the laptop when you need it. If you can wait, then wait.
Well, I start college in August so I needed a laptop but I probably could have persuaded my sister to give me hers temporarily while she used my desktop at home.
Anyway, to make a long story short just wondering if you guys think in my situation it was wise to buy the Sager NP5796 now or to have waited for a better laptop. Thanks.

There is always going to be something better, newer, faster ect. Even if you waited there will always rumors of the NEXT gen after that being 400x faster with 300x the battery life so don't worry about it.

It's probably going to be a pretty long time (a few months, which is about as long as it can be in the computer world).
You didn't make a mistake, I wouldn't beat myself up over it. I bought an 8800GTS two days before the GTX 260 was released and I don't regret it. -
Cool thanks guys for helping with my Buyer's Remorse lol.

Yeah, I'm buying the best, 9262, and I know it's going to be "outdated" in a year or so. In a year or so,t here will probably be at least one or two games I can't "Very High" to, but that's just the way it is, and I could only get around that by buying a desktop, which I hate when I want to move the thing

@Dreidel, there are difference between announced and actually released. The first AW M9750 with 7950GTX didn't ship out until Feb 2007, nor did NP5792 with 8800M GTX ship before late Jan 2008. And this time, GT200 series are far greater challenge compare to previous generations of fitting into notebooks, by both power consumption and heat issues. I personally don't expect to see them before Q3 2009.

Should I have waited for next generatoin of Mobile GPUs?
