Hello. this is my first thread. I'm currently running the stock np8150 with gtx 560m and 280.26 driver. My question is, should I just uninstall the 3d vision and 3d vision controller driver, since np8150 is not 3D-capable?

I'm asking this because with the 275.33 driver, I experienced pretty severe fps drop when playing Batman Arkham Asylum IF I uninstall 3D Vision driver. the fps count will be cranked back if I install the driver back, but I'm still not sure if it's the main culprit for the fps drop. It also happened with Borderlands GOTY edition, though Deus Ex HR seemed fine.

    any advice? thanks before!

Why uninstall it? It doesn't take up that much space, and if you noticed performance drop the last time around, it's just better to leave it be. The P150HM IS 3D capable though- you just have to use an external 120hz 3D Vision certified display with it.

I'm a little neurotic about the number of applications installed, boot time, and whatnot.. and the uninstallation process shaved a few seconds off my boot time. Besides, as I stated before, I really don't like to have too much applications if I don't really need them.

I'm not sure why uninstalling 3D Vision would have an impact on your FPS, but if you aren't using it there shouldn't be any harm in removing it. If you notice a performance drop though, you may want to add it back in.

yeah, I'm not too sure either. But when I did a clean install w/ all the 3D drivers included, the fps count goes back to normal. anyway, I'm keeping the 3D drivers for the time being. thanks!
