How accurate is this program at detecting the specs of a laptop? The reason I am asking is, I ran this on a dinosaur I got online, Sager NP9750v, and it says the mobo is upgradeable to 8gb ram. I was under the impression this machine was maxed out at 2gb.

The manual only states 2 sockets. So I dunno what to believe......

The chipset on the D900K is a desktop chipset (in order to use the desktop processor), so it supports 4 DIMM slots - this is what SiS Sandra is reading. Clevo have only implemented 2 slots, and as the maximum DDR-400 SODIMM size is 1GB, the max for this setup is 2GB. On a desktop platform, the max DIMM size is 2GB, hence 2GB x 4 = 8GB.
