Silver or Orange for new M570TU

I've just ordered a new M570TU from my local reseller. Which is better - silver or orange?

I have never seen one in reality so can only go off pics.

And the only silver pics I've seen are the ones off the xoticpc.com website.

Anyone got any pics of the silver one they can post links too?

Which do you prefer?

 

I don't think you get a silver trim. I think the cover of the notebook is silver. It looks very ugly.

I've chosen Orange! In stock already - pickup Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Silver I would have to wait 2-3 weeks. Thanks.

I got a 500GB upgrade from the 320GB.

I'll partition that into 2 drives and live with the 500GB.

It was either that or the 9600M GS on the Asus M70VM. It was a VERY tough decision for me but in the end the disk space wasn't the main issue any more.

Not sure what I'll do if I run out of space.

Hopefully by then there will be a $2000 AU 17 inch WUXGA laptop with 2 hard disks, quad core3duo and a GTX280M with Splashtop, HDMI, e-sata, fingerprint reader and the GTX280M won't be able to play the latest games! LOL

 

I just send my 570RU back for a sliver trim change, so next week the new one with silver trim + black lid will born...My favourite color.

 

I chose orange but would have liked silver with a black lid....

 

They probably couldn’t keep enough of them if they would be shipped standard that way, should look very nice. I would like to have the trim the same piano black finish as the top border, with the speaker grills black. O’well, maybe I will have to mod that myself.

The orange does add something cool, but I would rather have it black.

 

I went with orange. I agree with many of the other people, I did not like the silver because of its 2-tone lid. I probably would've gone with silver trim with a black lid had the option been available but I do not want to spend the extra cash for it.

The orange trim really looks better in person then it does online.

I agree, the orange trim looks great in person (my 5792 was orange) but I still feel that the silver (with black back) looks less garish and more professional. In the end it all comes down to personal taste.

 

I've chosen orange - mainly because I can get it straight away. Silver trim takes 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for all the comments. I agree that the silver back looks a bit average in the pics. Black all over with silver trim would have looked very good. I'll get it in 4 days so I can see it then!

 

So my NB comes back, now M570.5RU-0.5U. Black lid+Silver trim+RU MB+RU-U Bottomcase/Heatsink.

 

My baby (laptop) said "So?", that was her talking.

Are you planning on getting a GPU upgrade now? Show some pictures of your new colors, I bet it would look sweet with silver matching the speaker grills!
