How well does a does a single GTX 280M perform?I figure since Sager has had the GTX 280M in their laptops longer than alienware I figure you guys know more about this card. The NP9280 has the core i7 which looks awesome but it only has one GTX 280M.

    Can it play most games?

So a GTX 280M is just a tad bit slower than 8800M GTX SLI(Which we all know is just a 9800M GT SLI) if I read the benchmark right.

For gaming will the Core i7 really worth giving up SLI?I play RTS's and I've heard CPU power benefits more in those games. And it seems to be able to play most first person shooter pretty well except Crysis at 1080p res.

I haven't had an M1730 owner to bench against, but it should be ~20% slower than sli 8800M gtx. I'd like to see some benches of Vantage, 3dmark06, DMC4, Crysis, FC2, etc. [email protected] preferably.

I have plenty of benches in my sig, I may just be the person to ask about performance :p

i7 will make a difference for CPU bound games, but for the most part it wouldn't be any faster than my QX9300.
