    Hey guys,
I made a video showing my crossfire issues with Skyrim on a 6970m Crossfire Clevo x7200... Skyrim Crossfire Flickering - YouTube

Please let me know if you have any help, fixes or experience the same problem!

Firstly, did this come up out of nowhere or did it happen when you added a second card?

Second, did you update any of the video drivers?

Third, unlikely but, maybe the xfire cable is loose/unattached.

    1) No I never added anything to this notebook, I purchased it as it stands. It happened first when I installed the 11.11c driver. I also tried every driver up to the 9.00 beta. Rolling back to 11.10 eliminates all issues, but causes bad/negative scaling as at that point AMD forced the TESIV Oblivion or FalloutNV profile to work with Skyrim. This results in less FPS compared to CF disabled.

    2) See above, yeah I did a fresh install w/ ATIman every time

    3) It's not damaged I think as every other game behaves normal! I. e. BF3, Bad Company 2, Crysis 2 etc all run flawlessly after some tweaking, nothing like this flickering seen in Skyrim. After the game update 1.6 more people reported on the Steam forums to experience this problem again after having it fixed at Catalyst 12.1.

I think AMD needs to fix it again for those people, and I hope the next fix includes my setup as well :)

Have you tried any of the new catalyst beta software suites, such as 12.4 and 12.5? Some people say it works better for their new systems. You most likely won't have to edit the inf file as the 6970 is a bit older now.

I guess 11.11b will help you. Latest CCC is not the most suitable one for all video cards.

Sorry, I just saw others that tried out the beta drivers and got better fps, was hoping it would help with the flickering.

I remember I could somehow not install 11.11a & 11.11b, those gave me bluescreens during the installation... 11.11c was installing fine though
