So I was DYING to buy a P150HM. For at least a month I was researching laptops, etc, and finally gave in for a $1,600 laptop(400 over my originally plan). I love it, the looks, power, etc, but since I first turned it on, I've been getting one problem after another!

I still have the stuck pixel problem - hopefully Malibal can fix it because I haven't been able to(after buying a product that works most of the time) as well as pressing the pixel like a rep recommended.

I decided to go with the HD caddy, and for one, mine doesn't fit properly, I've even had my older brother fiddle with it.

Planned on reformatting my 2 HD's via external optical drive - can't(a "driver is missing"? ...) This led me to deciding to try to take one hard drive out - HD caddy is now stuck; it seems like the added support piece to hold it in is stuck for some reason...

Anyone else getting random problems like this? I mean for the price, I didn't expect to have major problems like these. Maybe something easy to fix but... yeah. :(

Did you plug your optical drive in to the blue USB 3.0 ports by chance? You'll need to use the USB 2.0 ports or it may not be recognized after you boot from it (at least with Windows).

Did you unscrew the retaining screw on the optical drive before trying to remove it?

Nope I used the regular 2.0 ports. It loads the start of windows setup but I can't get passed "install windows" because apparently a driver is missing ><

And yeah I unscrewed that screw. The caddy comes out a small amount but I can't get it out any more! Very strange because the first time I put it in(I forgot the retaining screw) it came out fine by just using the included tool to push it out! I feel I have the worst luck since I rarely/never see complaints about you guys' laptops

Edit: Well I found a fix for the Windows install problem; apparently I had to take one hard drive out o.o .. Of course the drive available is the one that's stuck in the caddy, which I don't need Windows 7 on (lol)

sorry to hear this. i cant say that these laptops are the best every, but overall it is the best laptop i've had. the only problems i had was random shut down, but mythlogic helped me find the source of the problem, and my sub sometimes makes a funny sound.

I honestly have barely seen any complaints like these, lol. Although I mainly managed to fix most of the problems except the stuck pixel, maybe Malibal can help me or fix it or something =/

I suspect that one of the screws holding the drive into the caddy may have backed out a bit and is hanging up on some other part in the notebook preventing the caddy from being removed.

You could try removing the caddy with the notebook bottom side up and a little pressure on the bottom plate of the caddy where it sticks out a little.
