I would give up the CPU back down to 2630QM, and the HDD to 320GB or something to get the 95% Gamut screen..

You config is pretty close to mine, and I plan on mine lasting 4 years. If it doesn't play everything at high-ultra settings in 2-3 years, that's perfectly fine with me. I can settle for medium-high for a year or two. :)

Another good thing about these machines is the ease of access for everything inside. I may look around for a good deal on a i7-2760QM in a year or so to upgrade the 2630QM. I may look for a 7xxx GPU too if they prove to be backwards compatible and the performance boost is substantial in 1.5-2 years.

I dont think he can drop to a 320gb, but he can drop the RAM to 4x2GB sticks instead of 2x4GB sticks and save $50..

And with the CPU, for gaming and most everything else, you wont notice the difference between the 2630 and the 2670. knock that down and save $40.

then it's only $5 more to get the 95% screen. I had the matte one on my 8150 and it was sweeeeeet.

    I wouldn't call this crazy insane. :p

Crazy insane would be buying the Nine X7200 fully specced with the best upgrades. :D

This is just normal insanity. :p

1500 is crazy insane for me, as i don't usually drop anywhere near that on any type or purchase.

As for the 2360, it was on backorder so I took the 2670 to make sure I didn't get a delay.

First you have to do is to relax. Save all the excitement for the day of its delivery. I know how it feels to spend a nice chunk on something for yourself. When you open and see it for the first time, you might be thinking that if you should touch it with gloves on or not touch it at all because of its super pristine condition. Well at least that what I would do  .

    Gratz on your new system.

Or find a new hobby for 1 to 2 weeks. I almost went nuts waiting for mine to be assembled and shipped (even came to a point I was calling the actual courier who had my system to make sure he doesn't get lost while delivering my package)
