Is it even possible? My hotkeys are configured as follows:
Fn + ~ = play/pause in AV programs
Fn + F1 = touchpad toggle
Fn + F2 = Turn LCD backlight off
Fn + F3 = mute toggle
Fn + F4 = sleep toggle
Fn + F5 = volume decrease
Fn + F6 = volume decrease
Fn + F7 = display toggle
Fn + F8 = brightness decrease
Fn + F9 = brightness increase
Fn + F10 = webcam power toggle
Fn + F11 = WLAN power toggle
Fn + F12 = bluetooth power toggle
Fn + scr lk = scroll look toggle
Nothing about fan speed? Is the fan speed locked? Perhaps always on max? Should I even be worrying about this?

gophn said he would look into it so I think as of now not yet.
and no you should not be worrying. -
Very well then, I'll just rely on my trusty Zalman cooling pad to do the work!
Back to Company of Heroes at 1920 x 1200 on high settings I go! -

I am about to get a hold of a Clevo M570RU unit for testing... stand by for more info.
I believe that there could be a BIOS [on the mobo or even the keyboard*] update to enable a fan toggle (like the D900C's).
* and yes, Clevo keyboards have their own BIOS versions -
Gophn, what about a BIOS update to prevent every external USB block device I own from being added back into the boot order every time I dock my computer at home? Any chance of that happening? It would be greatly appreciated

Pretty much all over the recent notebooks with Phoenix BIOS's have that function.
The best way to not notice that is to disable all devices (other than the main HDD) from being in the boot sequence. So even if other USB devices get detected, it wont matter because the only allowed to boot up is the HDD... as it should be. -
They keep being readded to the list. All I need to do to get them to be readded is to boot just once without the devices connected. Then when I reconnect them, they are readded to the boot sequence. Granted, they are added below the primary HDD, but the BIOS still takes time unnecessarily examining the disks before booting the HDD.

Goodie, goodie! Gophn's going to do a full review on the 570RU. Can't wait. Hey, Gophn...lot's of pics, please. And if you could, ask 'em for one with the 8700GT and one with the 7950GTX for comparison. Whoo hoo!

I do not know I will have the time to do a full review, I just want to test it for temps and functionality.
We'll see though. -
Also, while we are on the subject of fans and cooling, for those of you who are using a Zalman cooler with the 5790, where do you have the notebook sitting on the pad? I notice the vents on the pad are towards the front so it seems like only the front 3/4th of my laptop are affected so the back quarter is a little hotter. But it is always the front-right corner of the system that is excessively hot (I could cook an egg on it!), even when idling. I guess that would be the 55C+ HDD or the 57C-ish CPU. Since my GPU idles around the high-40s when idling (thus making it the coolest part of my system). So I was thinking that it might be important to ensure that part of the laptop is completely affected by the pad. So right now I have the left side of my laptop sticking out the most to ensure the hot front-right side gets the best cooling.
What do you guys think?
So does anyone know how to control the fan speeds on the M570RU?
