I've done a lot of searching on this, but I haven't been able to find a solution. Is there any way to lock the GPU and CPU fans to a certain speed through software? I have a notebook cooler, I use RMClock to undervolt and underclock (for everyday use), and use NiBiTor to undervolt/underclock the GPU for 2D. Still, the fans incessantly spin up to a moderate speed for 10-20 seconds and then spin back down. I know people sound like little *****es when they complain about this, but it's not my issue, it's the people around me that complain.

    you have several options:
    - "Silent Mode" button
    - Fan Toggle (Fn+1 for Max or Auto speed) (Fn+3 for Medium Speed)
