amazing! congrats) you were running a 4.5Ghz CPU overclock? i've asked you earlier if you can run a 5 min Intel XTU CPU stress test to see if the overclock is stable with no clock drops. Could you, please?)

This machine is going back in exchange for a new one due to the plug socket problem so I don't want to take the chance of bricking anything. I still haven't gotten an unlocked Bios from Prema; he emailed me a couple of days ago saying he was sick.

Maybe that monster desktop CPU is maxing out those dual 330W AC adapters and not leaving enough juice for the 780M SLI. You might actually need three 330W AC adapters on that kind of beast for it to reach full potential.

Try 3DMark11 using ThrottleStop profiles like we used to do with the M18xR2 before we had the dual PSU mod. It would be interesting to see if the same principle works on your Clevo, since the 4930K is drawing a lot more power than a 3920XM or 3940XM.

There should be a much wider gap between your 9570 (P570WM) and my M18xR2 with that kind of CPU power. Your system should be stomping mine with that beastly CPU and it is just barely beating it for some reason. An unlocked BIOS may not make any difference. It looks like you CPU is doing a fantastic job and your physics scores are excellent. I think your 780M SLI setup might be starving for power.

    3DMark11 Comparison - P570WM P17156 3DMarks - 4930K @ 4.5GHz versus M18xR2 P17029 3DMarks - 3920XM @ 4.6GHz

    3DMark Fire Strike Comparison - P570WM 10933 3DMarks - 4930K @ 4.5GHz versus M18xR2 10554 3DMarks - 3920XM @ 4.8GHz

    3DMark Fire Strike Extreme Comparison - P570WM 5760 3DMarks - 4930K @ 4.5GHz versus M18xR2 5572 3DMarks - 3920XM @ 4.7GHz

Your scores are really exciting and it makes me want one of those machines. Once you get that 780M SLI setup to work as well as mine is working (and as well as yours did when you had an M18xR2) it is going to be even more impressive than what it is right now.

Meaker, holy moses! 6600Mhz on 780M memory is just awesome, the best overclock yet) Also, the guys were running their benchmarks on Windows 7. It gives a little higher graphics scores in 3dmarks...

I forget, I use different clocks on different benches. I think I was 45x6 and 1100/3000 on this past FSXTR. Are you running an unlocked Bios? Prema emailed me that he was sick so he'll get to it when he feels better.

Those are really excellent scores, Brother Meaker. Good job!

Hey, I just noticed that Futuremark is showing actual core clock instead of "324 MHz" regardless of the clock speed. It's nice that they finally fixed that.

Well I will be able to run 1046/1625 1.05v with no throttle in games. Going up to 1.1v skyrockets the power. (Think 300w for both cards alone)

My current cpu refuses to budge past 4.2ghz.

Yeh, 4930K's in most of the reviews didn't pass 4.2-4.3Ghz mark. But 4.5Ghz is probably your best bet with around 1.4v or lower.

This is definitely true... I need to check again with my Kill-a-Watt, but I think you're pretty darned close if that is an estimate. With a single AC adapter, anything more than stock GPU voltage totally exhausts the available power.

Really? Only 4.2-4.3GHz? I would not be very happy about that at all. Maybe the Sandy Bridge K/X hex core CPUs are still the way to go if that's the case?

Either scarletfire got a really good one or he is doing something different with his settings. Are both of you (Meaker and scarletfire) using the same stock BIOS? I wonder if Meaker is pushing his GPUs harder and starving the CPU due to the power demand of 780M SLI? I notice that if I run more than 1.1V on the 780M cards under heavy load my 3920XM starts losing clock speeds under extreme GPU overclocking conditions, and that's with the dual AC adapter setup. I'm almost thinking that dual 400W or 500W would be better with that 4930K.

Meaker is running the beta Mod BIOS, while scarletfire is still wants to hold out on stock until the Mod is final. :)

Sandy would be worse lol due to heat.

My GPU mem is certainly giving me the advantage in the GPU scores too.

So, the Ivy-E runs a lot cooler than Sandy? If so, that's good to know.

I'm still trying to decide on whether or not I really want to try to purchase one of these beasts or stick with the M18xR2. I am going to be watching for a while to see how things ultimately shake out. I wish there were more P570WM owners posting about their extreme benching experiences. The CPU is the only attraction for me and I am looking forward to seeing if a replacement CPU fixes your issue with the 4.2GHz barrier. I certainly hope so.

I hope you're not upgrading to the 4960X Meaker. From what I've seen on Geekbench scores the 4930K is a way better performer. I tried to overclock my Vram like you do and my computer froze up and I have a modded Vbios. So I'll stick with 3K OC.My cpu easily overclocks to 4.5GHz. without even a hiccup with a stock bios using XTU.

20-30w less. This one is a tad better 4.3ghz and a lower stock voltage 1.24 vs 1.293. It does 4.3ghz at the stock voltage of the other one (or less, still testing).

    It's another 4930k.

Nothing on this computer gets hot even when I'm benching. This is the best move I've ever made as far as computers go. There is not one thing I've found that I don't like about it. And it was $500 less than an AW18 :)

I was comparing my 11 scores to scarletfire and they seem bang on since GPU memory clocks have no impact on a 1280x720 test.
