Hi all, I recently purchased an NP8130 in December and quite liked it so far. About two months ago, I noticed some grey spots in the lower left hand and upper right hand corners that seemed embedded in the screen and would not come out. Since they were far enough from the center of the screen, I chose to ignore it because I was very happy with the machine anyway.

Today, however, I noticed a third spot that formed very close to the center of the screen and is very noticeable with normal use. I'm pretty mad that something is already wrong with this already new machine and I'm dumbfounded as to why they would be appeared. The machine is usually in my backpack so I wouldn't think that would cause the spots since my previous laptop didn't have this problem, so the only other reason I can think of is that it's a faulty screen. Do you think I should contact Xotic about this issue or will I have to buy a new screen down the road?

Since you're still under warranty, I'd contact your retailer to see if they can get you a replacement screen. It's definitely not normal to have spots forming on the screen. It's possibly either a defective screen or moisture collecting under the panel.

Yeah the moisture issue has me a bit concerned, because I have no idea how they could be formed gradually like this.

If there's one near the center of the screen, it should be under warranty, I'd definitely send it in. Do you think you could post pics?
