    I have two questions:-

I have the most basic setup of thep5797 systems with a core duo 2.4 ghz, and 250 HDD 5400rpm, nvidia 280 gtx. I have listed the temps on my computer which I am assuming are normal, but can one of you guys give me a normal range for each of these. Thanks.

    Value Min Max
    ACPI 101 F 98 F 114 F
    THMO

    Core 2 Duo
    #1 89F 86F 96F
    #2 84F 80F 98F

    GPU core 109F 109F 111F

    Hdd 118 F 118F 118F

When I look into "my computer" , there are two folders, one says program files and the other says program files (x86). Why two folders with the same name? I am running Vista 64.

Those temps look okay to me. What is your laptop sitting on?

One folder is for x64 applications and the other is for x86.

What are the normal or safe temps for Acpi, GPU,CPU and HDD?

By the way, how do I disable the fingerprint reader, it keeps getting activated and interrupts me when I'm in the middle of a game?

To disable fingerprint reader right-click on 'my computer' then go to properties and device manager. Just click the '+' next to 'biometrics'. Then right-click on the fingerprint thingy and 'disable'.
