Some questions about buying sager online

Recent days, I am interested in sager 9370. So I mean to buy one from xoticPC.

I am a freshman going into the university, and I was from China, so I had never tried to buy anything online in america.

Here I have some questions really hope someone can answer.
1.I am now living in my dorm in university, so if I order sager from xoticPC, how can I get my computer?I mean does the express such as UPS can send it to my dorm?
2.If I order computer in xoticPC, do I need to pay consumption tax? If I do, how many percentage points I should pay?(I am in AZ)

I've google all these questions but no answer...

I live in a university housing as well. You should ask to see if your apartment has a customer service center. All my packages, even though is directly for me, is signed off by my customer service department for my housing so i can just pick it up whenever I have time. Its very convenient so hopefully you have something like that too.

I'm not sure about taxes honestly. I bought mine from powernotebooks and I think the tax was technically included in the prices itself. You can try going to the final steps of checkout to find this out as well as prices for shipping.

For questions regarding taxing, just call XoticPC directly. Don't forget to request the free shipping and discounts for notebookreview.com members (It would help if you get your postcount a little higher ).
Shipping will be done to your dorm, usually to a customer service center, or a front-office, etc. You can request to be called when the product is shipped to pick it up directly.

 

Pitt's a pretty good example of college shipping/receiving so I'll share my experiences with our process:

Your dorm has a specific mailing address, and you have your own specific mailbox as well. If you have a roommate, there's usually a 1, 2, etc... next to your mailbox number to denote who you are to the mailroom staff. These mailing addresses can get complicated and have specific formatting, so make sure that it's exactly right when you're filling out the shipping address. Put a formatted version into the comments section if you have to and explain that your laptop will be shipped to a University. You can look up the formatting for your dorm/school on Google.

UPS is then going to mass deliver packages to your school's mailroom, and it'll get sorted from there and then distributed to each dorms' respective mailroom. You might get an email stating you have to pick up your package at the college's sorting center.

As for taxes, a good rule of thumb with American online shopping is that: if it doesn't ship from the state you're in, you won't have to pay tax on it. So as long as the reseller you choose isn't based in AZ, you shouldn't pay tax. If you're still debating on buying or not, get involved in some conversations on the forms to rack up some posts at get a better shot at that discount sangemaru suggested.

The way beanwolf explained the shipping to dorms is exactly right. Some schools might do it slightly different so check with your mail room to see what they suggest.

For taxes beanwolf is right that wont collect for sales tax you just pay the price of the computer. Technically, you're still supposed to pay them and by claiming them when you file your yearly income taxes.
