Trust me, the D900F will end up being around 2200 to 2500 USD baseline with a 280M and 920 in it. I can not realistically see them charging more for it, as there is not that much of a price premium of the i7's over the older quads, and 280Ms are cheaper than 9800M GTX's, and since there will be only one 280M in it that will certainly reduce the maximum price point a bit. All the pricing right now is pure hype and BS, and if by some insane reasoning Clevo and their resellers decide to really charge these ridiculous prices then I wish them good luck on sales because they will be hard pressed to get anyone buying em even devoted Clevo fans like myself.

Well the prices that the clevo.fr have are real and they are way way to expensive even for the Local European users. I am agree with you, there prices are way to expensive but unfortunately those are the typical Clevo prices in Europe :(

That is very unfortunate for you Europeans, so basically Clevo is now the Alienware of Europe.

The problem with this is that there is no SLI, the 280M is cheaper than the 9800M GTX and the i7's dont cost that much more than the older quads. So I guess we should all just not buy it for the first 6 months to a year and then hope that they get a clue and reduce the price to at least reasonable levels.

Unfortunately CLEVO is the only company that offers the latest technology right away, and that has a very high price to pay. On the other side Alienware and DELL have a very very slow response time in regards the latest technology.

I honestly don't like either of these models. The 900f does use the new i7's which I like, but they're not offering anything in SLI which was the big selling point for the np9262 for me. And as far as the 980nu goes it doesn't offer desktop processors in a 18.4" frame. So either one you're losing a large chunk of power somewhere.

clevo.fr is not the official french clevo site, just the typical overpriced european reseller.

look at the bottom of the website:

" le site officiel de Clevo.Co est www.clevo.com.tw this website is not official, the website is www.clevo.com.tw "

a very basic i7 setup is around 2500 euros from there (around $3300?). when you have things such as blu-ray readers being charged 300 euros (or around 400 bucks), you really dont deck it out do you lol. the barebone (which includes the 280m) is 1800 euros, or about 2300 bucks)

They're overcharging worse than thousand dollar an hour escorts. Elsewhere, the M860TU w/ GTX 260M is available for €1,226.00 ecl. VAT + shipping. Clevo.fr is charging €1,199.00 barebones, without even a CPU, RAM, or HDD selected!

€3,599.00 for the SLI M980NU, just barebones, is not going to be the price anywhere else guys.

EDIT: check this price for the i7 Clevo...

Just an FYI; the best Core i7 Extreme processor is approx. $500 cheaper than the best Quad Core Extreme processor. So IMO the overall price of the D900F shouldn't be any much more than the D901C
