As the headline says I'm having some truely annoying issues with audio on my Clevo M571TU.

Sounds is (coming and going) choopy, lagging and includes static. Using headphones in headphone jack and with WMP and VideoLan etc. Opening a new webpage with flash animations just makes any audioplayback go bonkers.

Updated the Realtek HD drivers from their site to 6.0.1.5717 (Vista_R207_2) but that made none difference what so ever.
Switched of enhancements and set down quality from Studio to DVD.

    No change at all.

Vista is patched to the maximum and I'm grasping for straws here.

Seems like a possible IO/multitasking problem.

Anyone has any suggestions? It has taken me 20 hours or so to make the installation ready for my work to reinstall = suicide.
