I'll be ordering my 8662 tonight or tomorrow, but I have this one final, lingering question.
What should I get for a SoundCard? Just the default "Sound Blaster Compatible 3D Audio - Included"? Or should I upgrade to this: "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi ExpressCard 24-bit Sound Card"
(I don't really want any external SoundCards)
The only reasons I can think of for updating are because I like listening to a lot of (high quality) music, I'll be gaming, and I will be hooking up speakers and a subwoofer (possibly even 5.1 surround sound later in time) to my laptop.
Do these reasons even require an upgraded soundcard? Or will the default be just fine?
On a very unrelated side note - WD Scorpio Blue HDD's, do these things run cool in the 8662, I've searched, but to no avail.

I'm currently looking into the Echo Indigo ExpressCard but their as rare as leprachauns and twice as expensive. Good card and apparently much better than the Creative. What's your budget?
My M860TU has a WD SB HDD (500GB, 5400RPM). Cool as ice - no worries. -
the soundblaster x-fi is an ok card for its price. only problem is if you want to hook up your 5.1 then you have to buy the adapter as well.

Okay, so basically going with the Soundblaster X-Fi is pretty pointless, I'd still have to buy extra stuff if I wanted to hook up 5.1.
Can you install soundcards yourself into laptops? As this would probably be optimal for me then. -
SoundCards? (Sager NP8662)
