My beloved Rock Xtreme CTX Pro (aka Clevo M570U) appears to have a dead graphics card (well the symptoms point to this anyway) and I'm having some trouble sourcing a card. Rock has handed over support of the older machines like this to another company and a replacement card even without the labour is close to 500GBP.
Does anyone know of anywhere else this could be sourced for less? I see a few Dell 7950 GTX 512Mb cards (Dell p/n GU067) on eBay but they appear (I could be wrong on this!) to be a different layout (connectors in different places) to the one in the Clevo - from the tiny images anyway.

you can actually get those cards from a number of Clevo sources.
start with:
- www.sagernotebooks.com (contact directly)

Try this with the old card:

Also check ebay, maybe also use a different card (ATI) otherwise you will have the same problem. -
Do not purchase the Dell cards from eBay. AFAIK they would not be compatible with Clevos. Your best bet is trying baking or, if that does not work, go with one of the resellers that Gophn mentioned. Good luck.

Dell modules will NOT fit the Clevo modules.
