Are there any reports of Microsoft's recent Spectre fix bringing down any systems?

No, it will only decrease your CPU's performance.

And some reboot issues.

Only the Haswell code has apparently killed some systems. Honestly I don't know anyone with a Broadwell model and haven't heard of SKL, KBL or KBL-R casualties...

I received the update and my system went into perpetual blue screen reboot loops, including/not limited to kernel security blue screens, system memory corruption blue screens, forced reboots (the first time I've ever seen a system say "Windows encountered an error WILL shut down, save your work". The reboot issue is related to BIOS/firmware updates rather than the software one.
