fn+F7 should force the output to the external screen.

    if you are using S-Video,

Go to Nvidia Control Panel > Set up Multiple Displays
    - then make sure your TV and your notebook is connected properly.
    - choose to output to your TV
    - choose your viewing option (Dual View, Horiz/Vert Span, etc...)

Note: S-Video is quite low resolution (480i), so do not expect much from your TV's display.... DVI/HDMI is for the best quality (up to 1080p).

I had the same problem, it turned out to be the TV. But if that is ok then..

..be sure to use the right S-video connection. You should USE THE ONE ON THE SIDE, not the back.(!)

That is S-video OUT It's really strange but on the sager homepage they have mixed up the out and in. At xoticpc too.. Good luck

To make a custom resolution, you need to go into Nvidia Control Panel, and there is an option called Manage Custom Resolutions.

I did this. When I clicked ok ok it said "you need to test first", then I tested and it said was unable to display it or w/e. Thats what I mean by unable.

And I tried it on the one on the side, but I only have a 4 pin s-video cord, not a 7 pin. And I even tried that but it still didn't work.

    Thx

You need a 7 pin, at least that`s how it works for me.
    It`s about 5$, if I`m not mistaken.

remember there are two S-Video ports.

The back one is for S-Video IN

The side one is for S-Video OUT

It will work , trust me.
The only way it won`t work is if your S-Video port is broken, and I don`t see that happenning.
I use the S-Video when watching movies on my HDTV, since gaming on it gives me headaches. But full screen movies on a 40 some inch HDTV makes it sweet.
And I port the sound with RCA cables .
