I was just wondering what is the BIOS version that comes with the NP9150 with a 7970M from XoticPC

You can simply find out this information by getting into your BIOS.

At restart, follow instruction key and access BIOS.

I would be careful, as messing about with this would break warranty if you are not careful.

I still haven't received my laptop. The reason I ask is to see whether I should update the BIOS as soon as I receive it or keep it at the same version?

Updating the BIOS may or may not be beneficial depending on what the release notes state.

Usually, I don't recommend updating the BIOS unless there is some sort of significant problem with the laptop that the BIOS update would address.
