How bad is that? Could anyone reccomend a better driver for the 8800M GTX? I have a Q6600, 4GB of RAM, and Vista 64 bit.

Actually that is pretty good.
If you optimize your OS (disable resource hogs, switch theme to Classic Mode, etc..), you would probably get a slightly better score... but its not needed if you don't want.
8800M GTX with a score over 9000 is good.
It will get better soon when the new drivers come out for it. -
In xp you should get over 10k

Quad-core + a good high-end GPU = high 06' score.
3DMark06 to a certain point will become very CPU intensive. A simple Quad core will easily bump up your score. -
He is using a Quad core.
The score is good... for Vista x64... since the drivers are still getting improved... as compared to the driver support for XP. -
I probably shouldn't have had FireFox and uTorrent running in the background. >_>

I've got the same sys as you, but running XP. I get an avg of 10,300 3dmarks depending on which driver I'm using. What does this mean? Squat! Just try to find an optimized driver for which ever games you run the most. I bet our fps is pretty close to the same.
-
most definitely not.
As stated by Dexgo , in XP you`d be close,if not above 10k
I just realised that XP got me 200 points in 3dmark alone over Vista, and those 200 points make a helluva difference in new games apparently.. -

Biles,
You can do much better.
Check out Aryantes' tests on a system similar to yours and note the drivers he used. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=211255
The Crysis benchmark is a handy way to check out the graphics capability of your system.
Good luck -
I also think you should do a little better.. I also have vista 64 bit and got 10050 with stock drivers. This is with the Q6700, but that shouldn't add a 1000 points unfortunatly

Stock Drivers: 3DMark06 score of 9138
