Besides using updated drivers from Laptopvideo2go for our videocards, I was curious if many owners of the D901C choose to install all the stock drivers that are on the Sager website, or do you get the most up to date drivers directly from the manufacturers? Specifically, drivers for Realtek soundcard, Intel wifi, and the Bluetooth module. Any benefit to getting more up to date drivers for these devices, or is it better to stay with stock?

The reason I ask is because I like to always have the most up to date drivers for all my components, however, I know in laptops sometimes the OEM modifies the drivers to work specifically for the computer. Any drawbacks to getting the generic and most up to date drivers from the manufacturers?

LaptopVideo2Go is your best new buddy. Especially since your rig doesn't use SLI. It's not so much a headache to install drivers as it is with SLI rigs. They have the bad habbit of locking up during the install process.

I was actually referring to the components other than the video card (i.e. soundcard, bluetooth, and wifi). Do you use the stock Sager drivers or do you get the most up to date from the manufacturer's website (i.e. Realtek.com, intel.com, etc...)

component drivers aren't like video drivers. There aren't really any programs that wont work properly if you don't update your drivers.

    Sager drivers are fine.
As Bwhxeon said, they only make the things work or not.Unlike video drivers, which can make it work , or work better :D

Cool, I'll stick with stock drivers then! Thanks!
