    Hi
    I'm currently using a P650HS-G from Eluktronics (bought from Amazon)
    Recently, it showed up few strange behaviors including:
    - Keep forgetting my graphic card was there (showing up as Code45 in Device Manager, the temporary fix is soft reset the BIOS, it worked well - device detection and stuffs - after that, but the issue came right back from a cold boot);
    - High CPU usage and glitches happened everywhere (despite I re-installed Windows 10 - the machine comes with Windows 10 - and turned off all automatic updates, used the drivers from Clevo);
    - Keep getting Driver_power_state_failure BSOD randomly;
    Need help..

    Sounds like VRM's getting bad. Idk lately the P65x notebooks seem to be failing left and right.

    If you have warranty RMA it asap.

    Thanks for the reply
    Well if my machine is out of warranty, is there some place where I can get this fix?

    Iffy. Most just do replacement boards and not actual repair, so it's a mixed bag really. So youi might be better off buying a motherboard replacement.

    But before that wait for some replies, maybe its something else like the PSU or something. Maybe you should get it diagnosed by someone before doing mainboard replacement.

    The thing is all of this problem happened after the power outage occurred in my area, the power just on and off multiple times that night, then when I turned on the laptop in the next morning, those problems started to arise.
    Nothing happened during the use before that.

    Well it's likely PSU or VRM. Do you have the option to lend another PSU somewhere??

    Yes, that will cause spikes in the supply which is not good for any electrical equipment. As Danish said the PSU would be the first thing to check (does it do the same on battery?)

    Not good. Check the warranty and after that lets see what we can do.

    Not power supply then, you can rule that out. Try running one ran stick.

    I'm running with 1 16GB RAM stick from beginning. So... currently cannot contact with Eluktronics yet as they only work Mon-Fri.
    Worst case scenario is i'm going to find a place that offer mainboard replacement/repair. (If you know somewhere, that would be very much appreciated), and also need them to check the hardware.
    I'm currently running with DISCRETE graphic mode and nothing happened so far, only the BIOS keeps forgetting I DO have a graphic card in my machine and that can be temporarily solved by doing the (1st post) mentioned method. (I think I'm going to replace the CMOS battery if it may help)
    Will keep you guys updated.
    Thanks

    It could be worth reflashing your BIOS/ECU in case something got corrupted.

    Sir, how to reflash the BIOS? And where can I get the files for reflashing? Never did that stuff so could you show some detailed steps?
    Thanks

    edit: So, something beating the CPU hard and the fan running like it's overheating

    Get the files from your reseller, they can get you the latest ones and instructions along with ensuring it's the right variant.

    You can also first reset the BIOS you have to system defaults, as you may have some corrupted data stored. If that doesn't fix it, then try updating/reflashing. Tho tbh, power surges are brutal, and it appears it traveled into your system.

    With the 1st post mentioned method, I used the combination Fn+D to return BIOS back to system defaults but the problem will come back after a cold boot, which indicated something wrong with the BIOS (I think)
    I'm trying to contact the reseller to obtain the BIOS file thingy but so far no reply from them.
    I'm thinking of replacing the CMOS battery, but I don't know where it is and how to access that component.

    To properly reset the BIOS, you need to go into the BIOS, and use "Restore System to Defaults" or something similar. This will clear the CMOS and replace it's contents with new values.

    Update: So I'm in contact with Eluktronics now, and they said they are sending RMA authorization requests... For the repair, it could take somewhere 2-3 weeks depends.
    They also confirmed that there may be something wrong with the motherboard that need to be replaced/repaired.

    No reset option can be found (or maybe somewhere I haven't looked into yet) in the BIOS which indicates "Restore System to Defaults". The only option is Fn+D during boot.

    Many thanks.

    That's just the default settings in the exit screen I believe he is referencing.
