Strange colored rows of pixels on P870?

Howdy all, I'm having a strange issue that maybe someone can shed some light on for me?
I just bought this P870DM2 from another forum member, while everything is perfect, it seems that the display is exhibiting a strange behavior I've never seen before from any of my other machines. I'm hoping it's a setting of some kind or simple fix to mitigate this issue.

Essentially, I'm getting horizontal rows just about every other row of pixels that seem to be lighter than the others? This is extremely visible in contrasting colors. For example, a dark background with light text will show this phenomenon. It's also prevalent in solid color backgrounds, etc. I've noticed this is also in the boot logo, post screen, windows log on, etc. I figured it was maybe just my eyes playing with me, until I updated all the drivers and I seen the text artifacts on a window prompt that clearly show the text isn't looking like what it should. I've mucked around in the control panel of the Nvidia drivers and can't seem to find anything that changes this.

Is this the 1440p 120hz panel?

 

Yes indeed it is!

 

That's a trait of the panel itself and one of the reasons it was replaced with the 1080p one.

 

*Sigh* Looks like I'm either going to 1080p or 4K then. Maybe my eyes are more sensitive than others, as I noticed it immediately. I'm just glad it's the display and not a physical hardware issue. Thank you for the reply.

 

On my 870 while it was noticeable to me if I stopped and looked, it never bothered me in game or when surfing. Like you said, some are more sensitive than others. Too bad those panels were like that though, can't believe it made it to production like that.

Similarly while I prefer 60+ FPS in all games, others say they can't see the difference.

 

Your not the only one, My eyes/brain is sensitive to these artifacts as well. The CMN175c (N173HCE-G33) panel in my GE75 has a similar affect but only in some solid shades of blue (and 1 or 2 shades of solid orange). But definitely looks like your image.

 

It does depend on the person a lot and it does offer the resolution and speed.
