    Strange display activity...

    When I turn on my computer, I have two strange things happening during its operation:

    1. If the computer goes into sleep mode, and I try to wake up the computer, it will either turn on perfectly fine... or it will be a white screen, if its the white screen, I can try putting it back to sleep (waiting or pushing sleep button on computer) and if I wake it up again its a white distorted screen (strange artifacts). The only way to get it operational is to restart.

    2. Sometimes when I restart/shutdown... the next time I turn my computer on, the display is just black, never flickers or as far as I can tell... even turns on. In order to get it to work, I have to unplug and let it sit for some time without battery or power. Then it turns on fine.

    I play games, and there is no heat problems, there is no stuttering or problems playing. So I do not believe this is a video card issue based on overheating.

    I have a Clevo P170HM, and I have no idea what to do.

    I tried to run windows repair but it said that the disk was not right, even though its my windows 7 disk... any thoughts?

    The information really hasn't changed. I was able to use my computer for almost a week with perfect operation, then last night it started doing teh same as above. Screen turned white, then distorted, then on restart was black.

    Pulling battery got it functioning for a few minutes, but I left it unplugged over night and now its operating fine.
