I've run into a couple weird issues with this laptop after putting it to sleep a few times in the same session:
    1. Can't adjust screen brightness using Fn+F8/Fn+F9 anymore
    2. The sleep button (Fn+F12), power button, and closing the lid stop working for putting it to sleep
    3. The laptop stops detecting the charger (thinks it's still plugged in when unplugged, and vice-versa)
#1 and #2 have easy workarounds, just adjust brightness in Windows and sleep from the Start Menu.

#3 is a bit more serious though. It doesn't throttle the CPU and GPU when running off battery because it thinks it's still plugged in (battery % drains but icon says "plugged in, not charging), which seems like an easy way to kill the battery. Imagine if I have a power outage while gaming and the laptop continues to run full-bore off battery power.

On the flip side, it also doesn't unthrottle the system if it thinks it's running off battery despite being plugged in.

I have to put the laptop to sleep and resume in order for it to correctly detect charger status every time I plug/unplug it.

These issues do not happen on a fresh boot, only after putting the laptop to sleep a few times.

Maybe this system's ACPI was designed for Windows 10 and doesn't play nice with Windows 7?

    Or a BIOS/EC bug?

FWIW, I have FlexiCharger in BIOS disabled.

Maybe you can try to install windows 10 on an USB stick and see if the same issues are still present, that way you know if it's hardware/BIOS related or W7 related.

It's caused by incompatibility with Windows 7. Damn it LOL.

If the dark side involves ripping my hair out until I become bald like Darth Vader, then yeah.

For antiarrhythmic few tasks life is easier when you know your way around.
