    Hello everybody!

I've a problem with my graphic card (clevo M860TU).
I've very good performances when it's on AC but when I play on the battery I've only 2 or 3 FPS (even on old games)...

    I don't understand...

    Can you help me?

Thank you and happy new year!

Thats how it is with gaming notebooks.

The videocard is downclocked while its on battery... which is a low level setting.

You can bypass the downclocks of the CPU and videocard by modifying the clocks by using programs like RMclock for CPU, and RivaTuner or modified Nvidia drivers (where the Powermizer settings are set to max performance at all times, or is disabled in the registry).

Would not help much though since you will have to plug back in to AC power when you realize by forcing full performance of the CPU and GPU to play games will only give you about 45 minutes of game time.

Haha, see what happens if there's a powercut while you're in the middle of UT 3 :p

I was playing that vehicle CTF map where there's a random dust storm every few minutes, the dust storm hit, and after running around in circles I just stopped in place to let it pass. Five minutes later I realized the power had gone and so I was lagging with the dust storm yet to lift :D

So I guess we see the difference with the GTS and the GT. I get normal framerates playing older games with the GT on battery (older being 2005). Unless your older referred to Doom 3 on ultra settings?
