Doing some non-related reparation work on my notebook, I discovered that I couldn't take out one of the screws that hold the upper heatsink of the video card is completely stripped.
Because I want to replace this dead video card in a couple of months, as soon as I get the cash, I'm looking for solutions.
It's one of the super tiny ones :/

Depends how badly it's stripped.
Not very = you may be able to get away with a larger Philips screw driver + a lot of pressure to grip the screw, or use a rubber band to fill in the gaps and get some grip.
Horribly stripped = If you're up to it, you can make a small incision using a dremel, a metal file, or a hack saw, then use a flathead screw driver.i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -
Craftsman Screw Out sets are usually only about $20 for the small screw ones

Not sure if it would work, but maybe some small needle-nose pliers might work to twist it a little bit, then maybe use the screw driver or hand loosen it.

Needle nose pliers or the rubber band trick should work. It's ridiculous how easy it is to strip those screws......

For people like myself having a screwdriver just right really is important, it makes a huge difference.
