Thinking about what the next successor to the NP8652 would be. Picked up mine several years ago and have absolutely loved it so far. Today there appears to be a lot of GTX1070 Max-Q and GTX 1060 laptops at sager, with everything basically having the same i7-8750H CPU. Managed to pick up the NP8652 at $1350, so what does that money buy me today?

Yep, N850EP6. If your budget is flexible, maybe its 17" counterpart (N870EP6) - or you can go with an N850EK1 with the 1050Ti and apply the savings towards upgrades.

There's no real successor to the P650/P670 series, closest would probably be the P955xx or PA71xx.

The PA71xx with the switchable graphics and full power 1070 options is the main successor feature wise.
