I'm looking for a good 13-14" laptop capable of high performance, that won't break the bank. The thinner the better.

Yes there are Gigabytes and MSI laptops available that fit this bill, but they are all $1,200+. I'm hoping for something sub-$1,000. Any idea if these laptops are slated for a refresh with the Skylake upgrade? Any sense of time?

There is likely to be some sort of iteration but there are no details any time soon.

Sager tends to stay pretty tight lipped about any new models until they are ready to order.

Due to the move from socket to soldered some models will need some re-designing at least on some level.

There's a good chance you'll see some new models with the Skylake refresh, and possibly in that class (screen size) even, but currently there's very little concrete info to provide on upcoming systems, let alone pricing.
