Hi everyone - first post on the forums!

I was recently reading a thread a while back about conserving battery life, and the following idea was brought up: Should I remove the battery when plugged in?

As it turns out - one of the 5790's rubber feet is on the battery and trying to run the notebook without the battery would cause rocking and instability.

    I have a small request:
Can Justin or any other Sager reseller suggest the idea to Sager or Clevo to ship batteries without the lithium ion components? These placeholders would consist of the battery chassis without any electrical components.

I thought this might be a simple and cheap way to solve problem and would allow people to conserve the life of their real batteries.

    Thoughts?
    Dan

Yeah - that's one way of fixing it - hahahaha :p, but I still like my idea. Personally if I was going to plug in and use a laptop in public, I wouldn't want to prop it up with sticky notes. I would want something that blended in and showed the notebook in all it's glory. :D

Still wonder if a reseller could make a request like this.

its okay to use the battery and have it plugged in.

The main caution that some should realize is to not do it for a long duration of time (24+ hours).
