    Hey Guys,

I see lots of threads regarding similar issues, but I'm having issues finding a specific answer I'm looking for.

I just purchased a 9170 for my father and with my rep's blessing ordered a 7970m on the pretense that I could easily swap the two (he really doesn't even need a 485m, but he wanted me to have the upgrade opportunity). My problem is two-fold:

    1) The 485M boots in the 9170 but I can not for the life of me find nVidia drivers that will load. The Intel 4000 drivers loaded automatically, but even though the BIOS and HWInfo recognizes the 485, the device manager won't and will not update to a valid driver.

    2) The 7970M will not boot in the 8150 at the moment, clearly we know why this is, but can someone enlighten me if there is a fix available? I have a ticket in with my reseller, and I apologize if I have missed the obvious, but the search feature isn't really helping me out on this one.

    Thanks!

    Maverick

I'm aware of the vbios issue, and am working towards a solution with my reseller. I am more concerned with the 485M being driver-resistant at the moment. It appears that the Optimus/Enduro is causing this as it will not detect the discreet card properly. Does anyone have any advice on forcing drivers to this card via windows or otherwise?

Edit: To add to this: I am aware of the current Enduro issues, but oddly, both the BIOS and HWINfo64 show the card correctly, but the device manager is having a seizure trying to figure it out.
