So I've setup my new P150EM and I noticed unlike my old P150EM (both running Win 8.1) that the two finger scrolling cursor change doesn't occur and two finger tapping didn't work. Luckily I fixed two finger tapping with some registry editing:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    - Software
    - Synaptics
    - SynTP
    - TouchPadPS2_1

    And modifying:
    2FingerTapAction > 2 (it was set to 0)
2FingerTapPluginID > SynTP (it was blank before)

Is there a registry edit to get the scroll cursor to show? Scroll works so if not there isn't a big issue.

I also found it weird that during driver installation, when finishing it only showed one item installed (every time) while I think on my other machine it was two different items (one with a name similar to SynTP, it showed this also when I installed the Win 7 version as you continue reading). Oddly enough the SynTP call is setup for other button presses like 3 finger tap. I tried installing different versions of the touchpad driver like the Win 7 version which made the cursor change work (still no two finger tapping) but I uninstalled do to edgemotion being too powerful compared to the Win 8 version. I also tried the P150SM driver for Win 8.1 but that did nothing. When uninstalling, I made sure to delete all the Synaptics registry entries. I just find it weird that some defaults that worked on the same OS and model computer didn't occur this time around, even upon reinstalling.

I had a similar issue when i replaced my SSD just last week, the two touch scroll or side scroll did not work when i used the synaptics drivers from the thread on this forum.
I solved this by using the touchpad driver from the reseller of my P150EM.

You can give it a go if you like:
    Metabox Driver Downloads

Just head to the website, select your model, the driver category, and install. It worked out for me.
    Hope this helps you out.
