I just got my laptop back from the reseller, they tested it for at least 2 weeks and said it did not BSOD during their tests.
I'm gonna be testing again meanwhile.

I managed to find hotkey 3 from clevo, using a different laptop model than mine. ftp://cftp.clevo.com.tw/P65xSE/OTHERS/
the hotkeys match my p670RE3 and I've played a couple hours so far without crashing. Impossible to know if it fixed it until after a couple weeks of heavy gaming. -
After several weeks with no crashes, I feel confident in stating that removing Sager's Hot Key utility will resolve your BSOD issues. This is the package which installs the 'hkkbdfltr.sys' driver.
Synaptic's touchpad drivers do not seem to be causing any issues at all - having it installed isn't a problem so long as the Hot Key utility is not installed alongside it. -

got this problem today for the first time. Been using windows 8.1 since Oct 23rd.
It happened when I was playing the Witcher 3 and touchpad disabled. Will give some more time to see if the problem occurs again.
//I think Sager's Hot key did cause BSOD on my Windows 7 before I installed Windows 8.1. -
Is it safe to uninstall hotkey? What does it do exactly?
-
If you remove hotkey, it disables your keyboard hotkeys like brightness, volume, etc.. Also, on newer Clevo laptops its all rolled into one control center software, and if you remove that, you lose the ability to control your fans, switch GPUS, and enable/disable windows key. I have yet to have a chance to do an extended gaming session with the laptop in a week or so, but I will test and see if downgrading to hotkey 3 fixes the issue. One other user in this thread already believes it does.
-
I'll chip in and say that after removing Hot Key, my laptop has been solid for 2 weeks straight. I used to crash a couple of times a week, so I'm pretty convinced removing it will fix the crashes. That's the good news.
The bad news is, dropping Hot Key has all sorts of unintended side effects. I didn't mind at first. My Fn keys still worked and I didn't care about the loss of fan control. But today I discovered that my rear headphone jack stopped functioning. I couldn't get it working again by tinkering with Windows settings or Realtek drivers; in the end I had to reinstall Hot Key.
Currently using the stable version of Hot Key that was mentioned earlier by a previous post (can't remember # off the top of my head). Will post with updates if anymore crashes occur. -
I think part of the problem is that this older hotkey was made for the p650SE not the RE like mine. I have to go to drivers for the SE to even find it, as there are no hotkey drivers in my RE list on sager or clevo. -
Update: Today my laptop crashed again, exactly the same as before. I was using synaptics 19.0.24.1 and hotkey 3... It took almost 2 weeks before it crashed, but now when I analyze it, it says the crashed was caused by unknown

I'm going to try removing control center and hotkey altogether, but this really needs to be looked into by clevo, as I would really prefer to have that software working... -
Crash is still happening with control center and hotkey removed, and synnaptics installed. It still ONLY happens during very long gaming sessions, but to reiterate, i have monitored all temps and they are under 60c when the crash happens.

description: Synaptics Touchpad Win64 Driver
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: syntp.sys (Synaptics Touchpad Win64 Driver, Synaptics Incorporated).
Removing synnaptics again (regrettably) and will report if issue persists. -
I am still testing with CCC (Hotkey) uninstalled,
I did some TF2 and did alot of GTA V for hours while Steam broadcasting at the same time, which is pretty much maxing both GPU and CPU and no problem yet.
Gonna keep testing. -
I have this problem too, didn't found out this thread until today. Over the past few months, I probably got about 4-5 BSODs for syntp.sys while playing CS:GO. It would only crash while I am playing CS:GO, but not the other games I have been playing (Dying Light, Payday 2, Black Ops 3, etc), which makes it really weird.
I heard some people to uninstall the synaptic drivers, and some people said until the Clevo Control Center. What should I do first? -

I'd maybe try the synaptic one first, then see if that fixes the issue. Then try control center after that.
-
On a side note, never knew you are up that late. -
Uninstall CCC and see how it goes, uninstalling Synaptics won't help.
I still have not BSOD yet (CCC not installed). -
First off, programs and leftover files rarely cause driver related BSOD, so forget about Hotkey and CCC and what games you are playing etc.
It's almost always the drivers in this case, accessing wrong memory space, making interruptions at the same time in the kernel etc. that are to blame. This is why SynTP might not be your problem even if Windows says so. It can be another driver getting in the way. I believe that the RealTek guys made some pretty bad drivers not long ago, so maybe that's a place to look, for example you could disable Ethernet, etc. in BIOS, which could help identify the problem. Now remember that Win10 will push and update some of these drivers automatically so always double check the version and brand.
With my own BSODs, they always happened after sleep using a secondary monitor upon waking the laptop. I replicated the scenario and found the culprit and messed around with the drivers until it was gone.
My win10 got fixed with touchpad driver version 19.0.0.24 (I think).
If no driver combination fixes your issue you should consider RMA. Especially if it keeps coming at random times with no certain set of events. It is much more likely to be faulty hardware then. -

Exactly, hence why I can see that after hotkey was installed, that now there is a driver called hkkbdfltr.sys driver for my keyboard that has taken over (image attached), and it happens to be the exact driver that still gets reported for the cause of the crash if you remove the synnaptics. If I change drivers to a basic keyboard driver in device manager (image attached), it reverts itself back to hotkey driver immediately after restart. If i turn off or uninstall the device, it says changes wont take effect until a restart, then once I restart, it turns the device back on with the hotkey drivers. If i try to manually delete them, it says the driver is in use and cannot be deleted, and the same goes for if I try to manually remove them via CMD admin.
If i reinstall the computer without ever installing hotkey, these drivers are never present, and as far as I can tell, the computer never crashes. This is my current path that I'm on, but clevo still needs to release some fixes for this.Attached Files:

And if your problem is Windows 10 auto installing drivers, then use "DoNotSpy10", which has an option to stop all updates including drivers. -
Hello everyone. Another Clevo Laptop here with the same problem. I just got a BSOD referring to the Hkkbdfltr.sys Using HotKey3.10.
-
Uninstall Hotkey, make sure all folders are gone and drivers related to it are uninstalled.
I am still BSOD free since removing it. -
Still can't find any way to force remove the Hkkbdfltr.sys driver file. Driver Store Explorer doesn't have it listed at all. If I use it to force remove all drivers from insyde corp, the Hkkbdfltr.sys remains, and the BSOD's remain (verified with whocrashed that the hotkey driver is still the culprit) about once every 2-3 days assuming 8-12 hour heavy usage daily on my computer.
Forcing to delete the file via CMD admin says access denied (including in safe mode), unlocker says failed to delete the file, numerous other force delete / unlocker type programs failed to remove it. -
which model is that,exactly? -
Please some one help me. Every time I am playing cs go, randomly some time after several hours or some time in just 20 minutes while I am in the game I get this following error
" Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (syntp.sys) "
I searched about it and its related to Synaptics, I try to update the driver but it says driver is upto date. I am not sure anyone else having this problem but before I upgraded to windows 10 I never got this error message. Please help guys -
-
this really sucks no body have any kind of solution for this. i mean spend good chunk of money on this laptop to play games but every time randomly crashes is not good. please somebody expert have any input?
-
I'm still having this issue, and haven't been able to find any solution. been working with xotic pc and sager directly (tried getting a hold of clevo, but they don't have any real customer support). So far the manufacturer has no idea how to fix it, but acknowledges that many people are having the exact same issue with the clevo P6xx line of laptops.
I just checked clevo's driver page, and at least for my 670RE there are some new drivers out for control center, VGA, Chipset, and wifi, which I am installing all of, and I will report back if it still crashes. Sadly no new touchpad or bios update.

It started with Win10 on my P370EM3 aswell. It only has been while I play GTA5 tho. At first I disabled touchpad and it seemed to work for some time but it still happenes. I recently took care of my temps and installed new vBIOS. Time will show if that helps.

I have not had any BSODs at all since removing Clevo Control Center (Hotkey).
Everyone remove all traces of CCC, and see how it goes. -
any solution so far? keep getting these stupid errors.
-
I would also like to know of any solution. My last one caused me to BSOD at 1% on a boss fight which was infuriating.

My hotkeys still work without CCC, you just lose the GUI popup when you change something.
CCC is the problem, and the BSODs will continue until it's completey removed. -
I think you will lose sound from headphone waking up from a standby if hotkey driver is not installed. Clevo needs to redirect audio at every standby. Can you check this?
-
The quickest way to fix this is by installing CCC again and then uninstalling but of course this is somewhat of a hassle. I ended up just using the digital out jack and eventually after a few restarts the headphone jack started working again. I never tested this conclusively so results may vary.oile likes this. -
just happened to me while playing witcher 3 on my brandnew clevo
-
Update: I uninstalled hotkey all except for one driver which was always said to be in use (previously mentioned I think) and my problem was solved, at least havnt had a BSOD in the last 4 or 5 hours of gaming and they were happening every 30 mins yesterday. However, for me my audio jack stops working every time my computer goes to sleep, whether something is plugged in or not, is there a chance that if I only uninstalled the particular driver responsible for the BSOD that my audio would still work and the BSODs would cease?Last edited: Mar 22, 2016 -
Updating to the new 5.0.0.36 hotkey drivers from sagers website did not fix the issue. Issue even happens on old simple games like Diablo 2, minecraft, Icewind dale, etc...
-
I recently did a fresh install of Windows 10 without CCC and I can happily say it has completely fixed this common BSOD issue. It's sad this is still an unresolved issue on such a high selling laptop model. On a side note, I nearly had a heart attack at first with Windows 10 when trying to under volt my CPU through XTU and blue screened. With a little research, all I needed was the new Intel watchdog driver update and I was good to go.
-
I think I may have found a simpler fix... Due to my headphone jack being almost completely dysfunctional I tried a different approach and simply searched 'hkkbd' in the hotkey folder (as this was the name of the driver causing the BSODs) and deleted everything that came up, but nothing else. I haven't had a BSOD since and my headphone jack works perfectly whether I leave something in it before it goes to sleep or not. I also updated any drivers related to track-pad and keyboard but I'm assuming everyone else had done this already.

-
I thought I had fixed it, apparently not. Just had another sny.TP BSOD after a week free. Not sure how to fix this now as the headphone jack issue really irritated me.
-
Completely removing CCC is the only thing that will stop the BSODs, I'm not sure about the headphone jack since I never use it, I use a USB headset.
-
I would but Im on a pic specialist pc so no CCC, not sure what to delete considering I've already removed all hkkbd files.
