I've been using the latest version of Realtek drivers, and it no longer requires the ControlCenter installed to detect the headphone jack being used.

This seem to work, but a tip for all who are gonna try it: Create a restore point first!

I misunderstood at first and deleted the whole UpperFilters entry and lost all keyboard and mouse control. ;-)

Hello, I would like to contribute to the story of BSOD caused by SynTP and CCC, and actually ask some more questions...
So my story like many of your stories begins with BSODs while playing online games, and it is that scenario that I investigated.
Also, I am just a computer noob so my findings are just at an observation level and not really at needed computer guru level, and please have that in mind....

So everything begins with BSODs while playing games .... so as the rest of you I aplied the registry fix that removes the keyboard and mouse filters.... Now that fix doesnt really stop the BSODs but just makes them less frequent.... More than this, I was always somehow slow in my reactions on online games (CSGO) which my teammates confirmed by watching my gameplay live. So, naturaly I went the other way looking for culprit on the internet side of the story, NIC settings, router settings .... and this is not a bad thing because by working on that side of the stroy I lowered my ping from average 60 to average 20 (this is just so you can get a picture how much you can gain by optimizing your settings there), and my internet bufferbloat down to 60 ms.... But still I was SLOW.
OFC, the basic setting for playing is TOUCHPAD OFF - from inside CCC and all other stuff optimised for online games (power profiles, low number of running services .... )

So I went searching for anything that would cause my system latency (as observed by LatencyMon) ....and finnaly I found it !!!!!!!

I am amased how noone had realised it before, or at least I couldn find it anywhere on the net....

So the problem is not the touchpad, the SynTP driver or CCC - it is all of them put TOGETHER!!
For some reason the touchpad is STILL ACTIVE even when it is shut down by the option TOUCH PAD OFF from CCC or from key combination Fn+F1 ...
This is so very easy to verify - just by looking into LatencyMon - and OFC it is so very easy to miss - bcs who in the world would go checking his system and swiping fingers over the touchpad when that very same touchpad is OFF by your command !!!

So now the fun stuff begins.
You have your SynTP fix aplied, you have your tuchpad OFF, and you start your favourite online game.....
OFC you move in that game mostly by using A-D-W-S - SPACE buttons (and aim by mouse) - and that produces a situation when your hand is constantly on your keyboard and your palm is constantly on your touchpad ... and it is a disaster!!!

From what I read from LatencyMon - the touchpad constantly reads your palm touch - so the combined microsoft base driver (for touchpad and keyboard) - i8042prt.sys - goes INSANE, than our audio driver starts acting out - HDAudBus.sys (I think that they are on the same IRQ number) - and than the main kernel driver - Wdf01000.sys - goes to the sky.... And all this with the touchpad OFF. All this is with the system under pressure from online gaming -- and than you have your result - BSOD !!!

So I concluded that all of them together - the touchpad, the SynTP driver and CCC - are the culprits !!
If you take any one of this trio out of the equasion - the system runs very very nicely and latency free !!!
(For CSGO fans - my MM kills number is more than DOUBLE over night after fixing this)

Now my questions - and somu further findings

I can perfectly live withouth my touchpad - I DONT NEED IT EVER

    1. DISABLING TOUCHPAD - TOTALLY - NO MORE SIGNALS FROM IT OF ANY KIND

Other than disconecting it from the MB (which I didnt try), and since I don have a BIOS setting to disable the TP, I found it very difficult to dissable the touch pad. I went first to remove the SynTP drivers, but than you come at the mercy of Microsoft basic TP drivers. I couldnt find any way to disable the TP or by means of Device manager (TP always comes back upon restart) or by means of changing the registry.... maybe someone can do this. So I reinstaled the SynTP driver back and Imagine this - with messing around SynTP registry settings you CAN disable the touchpad. Also by messing around the registry I found that the touch pad pooling rate is 1200 (probably Hz) which I find extreme.... (this setting is in microsoft basic TP driver). Now because I am not an notebook guru, I didnt do this as methodically as I should, so I must have also changed some things I shouldnt. Also I am never quite sure what registry entry some specific registry key uses for values like ENABLE (which should be 1 but it isnt always) or DISABLE which should be 0 but it is not always.

    2. UNINSTALLING CCC

Another way to fix this is to uninstall the CCC - but his has its consequences.
If you just uninstall CCC with revo uninstaller - you can expect the following - keyboard not working after waking up from sleep or restart (prob due to fast startup as per this thread - http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/fix-clevo-control-center-flexikey-not-working.817877/), restore point not working, antivirus not working, audio not working .... other unknown problems.
So the propper way of uninstalling the CCC would be as advised here
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/updated-ccc-on-p870km1-how-to-knock-out-xtu.810706/
    or here
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/clevo-control-center-broken.802577/

But I havent still done that (uninstall CCC in propper way) so I cant report ....

So please investigate your self and post your opinions.

I'd be interested in this, can you tell me the driver version and where you downloaded it from? I dislike having that Control Center bloatware installed just to get the headphone jack working in Windows.

I've updated the driver, and the problem returned. :(
