I tried to install the latest Synaptics driver that has the gestures on my NP5793 ( http://www.synaptics.com/support/drivers) but I noticed after installing them and restarting the synaptics enhancements .exe just crashes anytime it is started up. Any idea what is happening? Also I have never really gotten a driver that made the touchpad scroll work. Any advice?

I am on Vista X64. And I did get the 64 bit driver.

    Here is the crash log

I do not think that these Clevo notebook have multi-touch capability... especially in the older model like the M570RU (Sager 5790/1/2/3)

Gophn, I can't even use the normal scroll with the touchpad. Moreover why is the synaptics driver crashing?

get the stock synaptics drivers from Sager or another Clevo vendor site.

Yeah like Gophn said. You won't be able to have gestures with that touchpad. You need a patched driver (which doesn't work in 64-bit) and a touchpad that can support these features. Which I don't think you have since I don't :p

Nah I tried run as administrator and I still get the classID error.

Also sager synaptics driver doesn't seem to work. Is there something you have to do after you install it and restart?

nope, try this driver - works for me.

Uninstall old syn driver, restart. Install 13.0.4.0, restart. Run 2fingerscroll as admin, restart. Run 2fingerscroll normally and set it up to run at startup.

Theres a service pack 2 for win vista?

Oh and btw. If sohail is correct this destroys all of your theories about the 5793 touchpad being incapable of the gestures.
