    Hi there.

I've made a search before i post this question and it didn't answered me.

It's the intel T9400 compatible with the clevo m570ru-u? along with my search, i've found that this lap only suports cpus until 800mhz fsb. Is it true?

Thanks for the help in advance ;)

Yes, the M570RU-U only supports 800 mhz processors. You can try to pin mod your PLL to 1066, but that is sort of a drastic action to take with no guarantee it will work.

    Hi paralel

So, the T9400 just don´t work in the ru-u? or it will work but with some kind of downsize(such as inferior clock speed or something like that)?

I´m asking this because i have an t8300 in my laptop and my brother have an t9400 on his laptop (an HP dv7) and we were thinking on trading the cpus (cause he now owns a decent desktop for gamming). I'm interested more in the l2 cache memory than in the clock speed but obviously i don't want to lose the 2,4 ghz i have right now.

    Thanks for your answers

    Hi sslmm(Boas!)

The T9400 will not work on the 965PM chipset. You can go for the T9300, it's the T9400 version for 800Mhz FSBs. It uses de same core(Penryn), same cache and it's better anyway cause OC better(the T9300 as a VID range of 1.000V-1.250V and the T9400 only 1.050V-1.162V).

In your case, cause you are not going to buy it, nothing can be done. The only problem of the T8300 is the half cache, wich is kinda bottleneck for a die like the Penryn. But anyway, the gains should not go above 10/15%.

    ;)

Hi audigy (Bons dias ;) )

So, no good news for me :/ .Both T9300 or T9500 are expensive to buy new(i'm not going to talk abou X9000 for this reason) . Was hopping that the T9400 would be a nice upgrade without hte extra charge, and would keep up with the 3700m better. Anyone knows a good store where to buy T9300 or T9500(or a X9000 :p ) at good price(near 150 to 200 $) or anyone wants to sell one for those prices(or near those)?

Thanks for your answers. I felt that somehing was strange, cause i didn't saw any RU with an T9400 on any site of the web. Now i know why :/ Thanks again and keep up :)

In my opinion, sslmm, the performance increase is not worth the cost, only if you get one X9000 with a good price.

The T8300 is not that bad, the core is good, and has less thermal leak and power consumption due the half cache(3MB), wich will help you archive better overclock margins.

With SetFSB, 2.8Ghz stable should be easily reachable.

    ;)

    Hum, ok then...
I'm going to live with it until my laptop dies then .
In a matter of fact, the cpu never let me down, but i've felt that in some things my brother's hp surpassed mine (gta iv, wii emulator). But oh well, it isn't bad at all.
Audigy, if you could, see the pm inbox, ok?

Thank you all for all the help ;)

I found some t9300 for about 130 but its still not really worth it. t8300 are pretty nice.

Also... from the same seller is a q4ga t9300. The other is ES too, but totally like production C0 stepping. Whereas the q4ga is B1 I believe... I was thinking this one might have unlocked multis, and well, that would be 100% worth it.

    Anyone know?
