The expert opinion (Paladin's) seems to be that there is guaranteed "chance" that it is inferior to the final, C0 build, and that you have no idea what stresses it's been exposed to prior to being sold on Ebay. So, it's old tech that God himself only knows where its been and for how long. There's a chance it's fine - but a better chance (by FAR) that a new one from Newegg is better. For $30, that's where my money would be any day without blinking.

But the real issue isn't whether or not it will work. That's secondary to the fact that what you are considering purchasing is stolen property. You can justify it by saying that Intel is a big-ole corporation with plenty of money to spare. But really that's just a cover for the fact that you're willing to sell your integrity for 30 bucks.

Well I dont think its technically Stolen... Intel gives out alot of these to testers and doesnt ask for them back ~ so they just go out down the line afaik.

What if the processor burns out 6 months later... what are you gonna do then?

Most ES chips only have 1 month warranty or even none. It will also be past Paypals statute of limitations. Meaning your stuck with a burnt out processor and $$$ down the drain.

eg. This seller is selling a T8300 for $190AU, which is super cheap. Notice how he covered the Revision/Stepping and CPU model with SuperPI? Very decieving tricks.

    Im tempted to buy it

Was wondering if a Q9WW is any better than the SLAQH I just received from a US webstore.

The Q9WW is one that is being sold on ebay, from HongKong/China/Taiwan vendors...

    TIA!
