Anyone know how to get the THX software settings to stick?

For example I have some external speakers plugged into the laptop and I open the THX software and go to settings and change it from Headphones to External Speakers. (Speakers are THX cert. also) and the sound is better.

I reboot or unplug and plug back in and it defaults back to headphones.
It sounds decent on that also but sounds better on External Speakers of course.

I imagine most people didn't even know about this option but figure would give it a shot anyway. You can get to this menu via THX software and hitting the little arrow on top right and selecting settings.

Hey, that's right. The sound does came out a little bit different. I've just noticed it, too.

I think there's a treble boost switching from headphones to external speakers - with the headphones settings the highs are slightly rolled off.

Mine resets to headphones whenever I unplug and plug back in my 2.1 speakers too. I guess the software is simply written that way and can't really differentiate between headphones and speakers.

Should have came with your laptop on a CD, if not you can download it from clevo or sager website.

Its just the THX software (not actual audio drivers)

Don't know about the "sounds better" things though... It kinda sounds flatter to me if the setting was switched to "external speakers".

after i installed the thx s/w, i restarted the laptop. when i double click the program, it pop up with this small window.

the current selected audio device is disabled, not present, not supported by the application, or has unplugged jack connections. do you want to select another audio device now?

when i pressed the yes option, the new small window pop out with this writing.

there is no supported audio device available...

It depends on your speakers, my speakers are THX certified so enabling that causes them to crossover at the correct spot and sound much better for me.

    For some it may not.

What laptop do you have? Did you activate the THX software also? Should have a button to activate it.
