    Hi,
I'm interested in buying a Sager NP2096 from XoticPC, but I would like a little more information about taxes. If I were to ship directly to Canada using the "Canada UPS Express" choice, which fees would I be hit by (BC) besides PST and GST? (i.e. customs tax?) If I were to send the laptop to Seattle, then pick it up and drive the laptop to Canada by myself, would there be any taxes (Not going to try tax evasion). Sorry if this question has been asked before, but the search is currently disabled :( .
    Thanks :)

As far as shipping cross-border goes, you'd be better off asking the shipping companies, like UPS - I believe that the resellers have nothing to do with collecting any of that tax, and that the shipper pays it on behalf of the recipient when the goods cross the border, and will not release the goods until the recipient reimburses the shipper.

With respect to shipping to Seattle, there would be no US sales taxes unless the reseller had a presence in Seattle, and at the border-crossing, that would depend on Canadian customs and importation laws, which you would be better of checking with the relevant Canadian government office.
