Ive got a Sager 5710 and Ive built desktops but this is my first time digging into a laptop. Ive had the back cover off and Im still not sure what Im looking at. I found the GPU, RAM, and HD but cant seem to be sure where the CPU is located. Im about to upgrade my RAM, GPU, and CPU so please help.

If you open the large panel on the back you will see a copper heatsink. There is most likely four screws holding it on and should be right at the corner of the laptop. Underneath the heatsink is where you will find the CPU.

    Hope this helps. :D

Indeed, it's right where the vent is - taking off that panel will reveal the heatsink - remove the screws and it is right there. It is close to the GPU.

OK I think I understand where you guys are pointing me. Let me open it again and take another look. I want to be ready when all my components get here.

Yeah if I got this right then its right to the left of the GPU. Theres a tiny sticker I missed before that says to remove the cpu heatsink before removing the gpu heatsink. Also I should have seen the brass piping. The gpu has one brass pipline(or whatever theyre called) and the cpu has two.
