What kind of temps are you guys getting on your 2096's (JHL90's)? I'd been playing WAR for maybe 30 minutes, if that long and tabbed out and saw my GPU had maxed at 95c. I've got the T9400 2.53ghz, 4gb RAM, 9600gt, Vista 64. I don't have a cooler atm, I am working on getting one. I do however have the laptop raised off the desk about a half an inch w/ a fan blowing towards it. lol Anyone else having this issue?

Alrighty. I'll play around with some drivers later and attempt to figure out how to undervolt. lol :) I'm working on the cooler, I just can't find the one I want. I may have to upgrade and get a more expensive one. :(

make sure you keep the system on a clean, hard flat, surface.... and elevated.

preferably, get a good notebook cooler.

If your not playing games, is the cooler still necessary?

Not really... but a cooler would help guarantee overheating, as well as help guarantee that you are using the notebook on a trusted surface.

I think in another post that someone said (from powernotebooks?) that 95 was high but nothing to worry about. Mine also go up to 95 as max (no cooler, undervolted the processor) it seems like it is just the way the notebook is built. You shouldn't need a cooler for a notebook if you not overclocking it! I also think that someone mention a driver update that made the GPU run cooler.. I am not sure how that is possible without underclocking or undervoltning...

    thats not correct.

you do not want to exceed 90C degrees, or you will risk permanently damaging the videocard with prolong usage in that extreme environment.
