what the heck is it?
Here's the text I copied from Norton Security Suite:

I did a bit of googling and some answers point towards looking for exclamation points in Device Manager, under the Network Adapters and something about IPV6. I really don't know any more than before I did my research.
I use Comcast cable for my internet. Do I need to go into the network adapter settings and disable things related to IPV6?

No, IPV6 is just a networking protocol that will someday replace IPV4 (which is what you're using now). You can disable the device in Device Manager if it shows up. It's not a big concern though; something that was introduced with Vista I think that's used to tunnel IPV6 traffic over IPV4.
