    Hey Guys,
A while back i posted about the lines across the screen and how i completely removed the LCD screen and reseated the inverter and LCD cable, as well as nudging in the video card. The lines stopped for like.. a week... THEy''ree bbaaaaacckkk
narrowing things down i feel it could be a video card RAM thing. So i was wondering wat tests are out there to test VGA Ram... i kno memtest is for system memory and u need a boot disk. is there any program i can just DL and run to test video ram?
i have a feeling the video card may need to be reseated.. its wen i force down on that area it stops... something with the video card i think.

Yeah Doodles, it sounds like your card is working its way out. Did you inspect the card and the clips that hold it in place? Are you moving your notebook regularly? I don't know a way to test the Video Card RAM besides running 3dmark or a similar program. Your under warranty, what did PCMicro tell you or have you not brought it up with them yet?

There is a program called BurnInTest that will show you if the 2D Video is messing up. If so then it's more than likely going to be the video card if your getting 2d and 3d errors.

Just a thought. Hope it helps man!

wwooaah WuJen.. long time no see...
i spoke to PCmicro, very helpful, they also said this program has been happing with other ppl. I tried to fix it myself sicne i dont have the time to send it in. THey said it usually results in them changing out the video card or inverters or reseating... i did all of the LCD screen and inverter cable reseatings and the problem stopped.. i guess. Now very rarely do i see maybe one line go across the screen and disappear. if it stays i push down on the base and BAM gone... i rele cant reseat the vid card since id have to remove heatsink, meaning removal of Arctic silver. which id have to then clean and reapply. im swapping cards next year anwyway... so ill see if it can hold out. RIte now im using that program... its been running a while with no errors... and im writing this reply as its on. I noticed its using up my HD.... 700 MB has been written and therefore disappeared? lol
    thanx again
