I'd say the most noticable thing is their resale value isn't as high as other more known brands, unfortunately. In the same sense, this is a plus because honestly don't want Sager getting too big. We all know what eventually happens.

Well, mine's not a Sager, but it's the same notebook as the 5793.

    The downsides:
Inferior speakers. Medium sound quality, low volume.
Right hand palm rest gets toasty when gaming (though my hand's never there while gaming)
Front audio jack is really in the way.
Wierd number pad layout. It took me a couple months to get used to it, and I still have the odd problem as I use regular keyboards... err, regularly.

    That's it for me.

Well, heck. I've never even seen a desktop with that many ports. Just use a caddy or *shock* don't use everything at once.

    Hahah, don't worry, I usually don't, either.

I was just sayin' - I'm sure some people out there might be concerned about that sort of thing, and since the purpose of this thread is to nitpick every potential flaw with Sager products, it was probably worth mentioning. :]

I am just wandering why Sager or maybe PNB and Xotic can not do something about the speakers? Maybe PNB or Xotic can offer as customize option such as Harman Kardon speaker, which is much better speaker (such as in Toshiba gaming notebooks product, "Qosmio or Satellite series").

I believe that quite some of users will be happily to add some money for better speaker, I will at least :). Additionally, it will also attract more new customers indirectly. (I need much better internal speakers bcz I move around a lot. Personally, I dont like to use headphone for several hours in a day, bcz it will reduce the hearing capability in the longer term according to my doctors)

I hope Mr. Donald in PNB or Mr. Justin in Xotic will read my post and can do something about it, since they should know exactly about the voltage or detail configuration in the Sager or Clevo specification, that is needed for changing the internal speakers system.

Pardon me for my english as my second language. :D

Oh forgot to mention earphone jack is ridiculously quiet to the extent of unusable anywhere with a lot of ambient noise like planes trains etc. Hence the need for PCMCIA Soundblaster

    1) all laptops ship direct from sager, PNB and xoticPC can't nor willing to mod them.
    2) Harman wouldn't help, they need to face the speakers directly toward user.

Pardon me too for my english as my fourth language

So far the worst thing I've found with sager, is the fact that I'll have to wait 3+weeks before I'll get it.

Well that and someone mentioned it comes in a plain white box, I sure hope thats not true.

I have a pair of mdr ex91s and still home is about the only place built in audio out is usable.

Plus everything just sounds so much better through the ZS than thru the AC97.
