I wonder if the memory Corsair vengeace 1866mhz works on notebook clevo P170HM i7 2630QM processor or only from 27xxQM, 28xxQM, 29xxXM. I have the latest bios and EC firmware update.

The manufacturer does not tell if this memory is XMP JDEC or so I'm afraid to spend some money and not work. Thank you.

If it is PnP yes it will. I am unsure if the speed will still drop to 1600 though as that is what the Sandy Bridge processors can handle.

If there any particular reason you want it to run that high (other than because you purchased that speed)?

memories of kingston I know differentiate between JDEC (PnP) and XMP, but the corsair'm not finding anything about it, the part number is CMSX8GX3M2A1866C10

i found 2 latency for this memory
    - Latency: 10-10-10-27
    - SPD Latency: 9-9-9-24

the 1st is for Jedec and 2nd for XMP?

I do not understand what you said about keeping in memory 1600mhz

    thanks!
