THIS CONTEST IS OVER! Congrats to Ajnindlo and Ngoni on the wins!
Alright folks! Now's your chance to enter to win either a $70 Steam credit or a $140 Sager credit to be used on our website! All you have to do is name one or more things that you like most about Sager. Here are the rules:
We will not accept entries made by users on the 17th of September and afterward, so that we can give the credit and entries to the people who have been here already. This will hopefully cut down on most spam and false entries made by users. You may only post once in the thread, so make it good. Posting twice (we WILL check, same as with the join dates) will automatically disqualify you, no matter the post. Use the edit function if necessary. The winners will be randomly picked from the entries via a random number generator.
So, with that in mind, good luck to you all!

what do I love about sager?
in a nutshell, it would be the unbeatable price/performance ratio, the robust design, the sleek yet not showy outlook.
Not to mention the variety of customisation options that allowed me to build exactly what I wanted.
All in all, it ticked all my check boxes and was the perfect laptop for me =D. -
I love the performance/price, its impossible to buy better laptop hardware specs than sager. Sager have simple and clean look and that's one big advantage for me to hide this hell machine from the bad looks if you know what i mean, but the big advantage of sager is the ability to upgrade to better hardware to keep in the future. I have mine for about 1 year and i use all day for my entertainment and for my education in engineering and i think this laptop have all I need to my future !
-
As the others have mentioned the price is great for what you get. I love the sager idea of giving the higher end customer what they want: customization, easy access for DIY, and top notch components. Another love of mine for sager are the non obnoxious aesthetics of your products. I want a solid laptop that can do anything I need it to, but also want to be able to use it in a professional setting.
I want to love owning a sager, but i need to have one first! I am in the market for a new laptop and this might just make the price point too good to pass up and I will have to pull the trigger a year early. Thanks for the chance guys! -
I love the reliability and the well-built chassis, having all the components well-placed, for easy access, has saved me countless hours. My Sager has been through everything these past few years and has never missed a beat. I've done two gpu upgrades, two cpu upgrades, and other various ones to extend the life of this beautiful machine. The amount of money I've saved owning a Sager and doing upgrades periodically, is more than enough to buy my next Sager will all the configurations I want. I can't tell you how many times people have asked me what kind of custom laptop I have and I tell them all the wonderful things about Sager. Thank you for the past few years and here's to many more!

Things I love about Sager:
- I can customize the spec to my heart's content.
- I like the minimalistic/professional look of it.
- Like others, the price/performance ratio is excellent.
- Excellent resellers and users community.

I love the fact that they allow you to do whatever you want with the machine, upgrade anything. And a Sager machine can blow the competitors out of water for half the price.
-
1) no bloat
2) unbeatable price
3) top of the line hardware every time!
4) customization

I personally love that sager's are upgrade-able! I have always been a PC person, but it was a pain to be stuck to one spot in the house. With Sager laptops I don't have to throw my laptop out when it gets old, but instead can just upgrade the GPU or other parts. So for me it is mostly that the life cycle can exceed that over other gaming laptops.

I love how everything is replacable and easy to fix.

What do I love about Sager?
Quality - Sager has a good reputation for quality in these forums. Among the top companies people recomend.
Price - I priced comparable models over and over and could not beat the pricing for the features I wanted.
Features - Which brings me to my next point. Sager has great features and are very customizable. For example many models come with a 5400rpm HDD with no option for a 7200rpm drive. Not to mention Sager has many choices for SSD, CPU, GPU, and more.
Upgradability - Sagers are very easy to open and get to components. Additionally it is easy to upgrade to any of the orginal options.
Swapability - As mentioned, things are easy to swap. But you can swap the optical drive for a lighter empty bay, or put a hard drive in its place.
Expandability - For the model I am looking at, NP8255-S, you can put five hard drives in it. That is very impressive for a 15.6" laptop. For me this is important, as I normally run out of space.
Forum support by dealers - I am truly impressed by the support in these forums by the dealers. They not only help thier customers, but they help others as well.
Warranty - is good and solid, they stand behind the product.
Lighted Keyboard - I think the three different colors on the lighted keyboard are cool. Also nice that you can now turn off the touchpad light independantly.
That is my list for why I love Sager. But really it is my list of why my next model will be a Sager.steviejones133 likes this. -
My Sager laptop never fails to wow the girls at college. They all be like "hey what kind of laptop is that?" so they're already seeing me as a a mysterious guy because my laptop has no branding on it. What really gets them is how I respond with "wait until you see my benchmark scores". At that moment, their skirts are literally blown away from the power emitting from the laptop as I run 3DMark and Cinebench. The experience leaves them shaking, and me with another number in my excel document.
-
The quality: my previous laptop lasted me almost 6 years with daily usage. Did not have a single issue the whole time. Couldn't asked for better!
-
I love the overall design. It's awesome to have a gaming laptop that's in disguise as a business notebook.

I love the customization of Sagers, able to choose what hardware you like is huge with power users such as my self. Also being able to upgrade your system is amazing.

What do I love about Sager?
Well, I could sit here and blow a whole load of smoke, but I'm not gonna do that. Basically, I 'love' Sager because right now, I'm in the market for a new machine. I'll possibly be coming from 'the dark side' (having last owned a tricked out Alienware M18x R1) so I have been tempted to look closer at Sager - something I had not REALLY done before. From what I can see thus far, the hardware, the price, the quality and perhaps most importantly, the performance, all seem to be excellent.
The thing I love most about Sager right now is this thread.
It would be great if I could knock a chunk off the price (especially as shipping alone is around $300) of what would be my desired machine - NP9380s - as they aren't exactly 'cheap' machines for a fairly maxed out version - no matter how much money one has. It would also be great to choose steam credit, too.....regardless of what machine I end up opting for. The fact that the option is there to choose a prize if lucky enough to win is a fantastic idea....another thing I love.
I love the fact that the prizes are open to everyone globally, and not just limited to the US - as other NBR promotions can be.
I think that's about as much 'Sager love' as I can give out right now, without sounding like a butt-licker.
C'mon lucky post #17
Good luck to everyone!!HTWingNut likes this. -

lol, 'nuf said.
Personally I just find that they offer the best bang for the buck. They aren't always perfect and some things need some tweaking but in the end you can't beat the build, performance, and overall package for the price. You can easily spend hundreds more for other brands with same guts, but then you're usually just paying for the pretty looks. Sager's conservative look is what attracts me to them actually. I don't care for all the bling.
Thanks for offering this giveaway!
Good luck everyone!steviejones133 likes this. -
What I love about sager honestly is the dual fan options at a cheaper price point.
I love the ability to have an awesome gaming computer but not being overpriced, the ability to modify it if I want to, but it does all of this without the "Hey look at me laptop image"
I love the way it feels, especially the keyboard and the overall quality of the laptop that is overlooked by so many(Which I try to change every day with showing off my Sager laptops!)
Thank you for the chance but it doesn't matter if I win or not as I have already won by owning this laptop!HTWingNut likes this. -
I like the combination of understated looks, customization, and value. You really can't find the same intersection elsewhere.
-
That's a wrap folks! Winners will be chosen momentarily.
-
There were 19 submissions in all, minus my two posts, and the random number generator picked 11 and 19. This means ajnindlo and ngoni have won! Congrats to you both! You can check your PM's for further instruction momentarily.
To the rest of you, I offer our humble thanks for being an awesome customer base. Not only have you been loyal, but you've been a very tight-knit community that has helped each other immensely when in need. I don't think we'd trade that customer base for another base in the world. Keep setting the standard and we'll you see next time, hopefully!

Sweet! Way cool. I can really use the Sager credit, since I plan to buy a Sager the first part of October, or as soon as the Haswell C2 fix for USB 3.0 is shipping.
I am soo excited. Wow!
Now, should I put it towards a $150 SSD, or just take a price reduction on the whole system?
BTW, I meant what I posted. And these forums and the dealers and owners are just great.
Thanks to Sager, and everyone else who helps others!steviejones133 likes this. -
Does this mean he's disqualified because he posted twice?

Congrats to both winners!!
(wasn't there something about eligibility though....I mean 5 posts on NBR and the last one made happens to be on this prize thread 20 minutes prior to the giveaway deadline - prior to that, the last post made was over 3 years ago.....)
Anyhoo.....thanks for the chance to win. Happy spending to both winners!!cavell219 likes this. -

Fair enough I guess....maybe I've read other competitions stipulate the post count rule so that it eliminates this kinda thing. I know it sounds like sour grapes - it isn't....I'm chuffed for anyone who wins a prize, but when it was supposedly for NBR/Sager fans, it's just very ironic that there are many regular members of NBR who would have loved to have won, however one of the prizes went to someone who made one post in over three whole years and only 4 posts in total prior to this competition thread.......gotta see the irony in that, huh?
Anyway, it was a fabulous giveaway - thanks for running it for 'loyal NBR members' even though as it panned out, one of the prizes just ended up not going to one of those loyal members.....
Luck of the draw! -
I am just happy that they opened it up to forum members at all, since originally it was just Facebook and Twitter. I think that gesture shows that they do appreciate the forum members. Personally one of the things that made me decide on Sager was all the love they get in these forums.

I agree. It's always great to see such manufacturer activity. I'd have just like to have seen the NBR specific prizes go to someone who really frequents NBR. Such promotions are great for both NBR and the manufacturer doing the promoting. It's just a shame (in my eyes) that one of those prizes didn't go to someone who actively uses NBR. The other winner hasn't even bothered to post his appreciation (like you have done) of winning one of the prizes in this thread....who knows if anyone will ever hear from him again given the post history......and that's what I call a shame.
Anyway, enough about that from me. I just felt that the NBR specific prizes should have gone to someone who actually uses NBR ....that was the whole idea of opening it up outside of Twitter and Facebook, right? - to reward avid NBR members....
