No, I'm not talking about the band. For the past two days my Sager 5760 has developed two, vertical, white lines on the LCD. One is near the centre of the screen, the other is near the right side of the screen. Both are about 1.5" wide and are the entire length of the screen. It doesn't matter what OS I boot to, both appear in Linux and WinXP. In fact they first appear during boot up, during the BIOS check.
I plugged the Sager into an external monitor and the white lines do not appear, so I take it nothing is wrong with the video card. Which leaves either the LCD itself, or there is a bad connection to the laptop's LCD screen (I'm hoping it's the latter).
Are there any instructions online on how to safely open the screen up and access the cables? I want to try checking for loose connections.
Thanks.

Thanks.
It appears as though it is the LCD screen that is failing. I opened the laptop up and didn't notice any loose connections, yet the white lines still appear (although one of them disappears from time to time).
I guess my next question is, where can I buy a replacement LCD for my 5760? Preferably WUXGA. Is there someplace in Canada that sells them?
